Abstract
A combination of mechanical synthesis, solid-state
analytical techniques (ssNMR, powder XRD, ATR-FTIR) and DFT calculations
sheds light on the mechanisms operating in two organometallic
solid-state syntheses and highlight the importance of workup protocols
in mechanochemical syntheses. The data clearly indicate that product
formation can occur during or post grinding.
